Finance Grant Specialist


Position Overview:

  • Reviews financial and other system inputs relating to grant-related activity for appropriateness and compliance, understand and satisfy specific grant requirements including match and sub-recipient monitoring as required   
  • Prepares monthly or other periodic interval billing reports based upon requirements; ensures accurate and timely submission of billings 
  • Develops and maintains effective electronic data base and filing systems to track and maintain required and necessary grant-related documents
  • Coordinates audit process relating to grants 
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations for each grant or contract, maintain expertise with the OMB circulars and other regulatory publications
  • Prepares, obtains, organizes, reviews, and distributes budget related reports for agency grants for pre award or budget revisions 
  • Assists with other departmental or divisional functions including, but not limited to, contract billings and reconciliations, maintaining donor and contribution records, organizational budgeting and posting payments associated with behavioral health and child welfare fee for service billings in the respective Care Logic and Extended reach billing systems

Requirements Include: 

  • Requires two or more years' experience with all aspects of federal grant financial management
  • Bachelor or master's degree in a relevant field of study preferred
  • Must possess a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and the federal Uniform Guidance regulations, as well as the ability to research accounting grant-related issues and questions
  • Requires a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, managing spreadsheets including tables, pivot table functionality and possesses the ability to format charts and graphs to illustrate financial reports 
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record 
  • Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
