Peer Support Specialists serve an integral role in clients’ substance use disorder recovery. Specifically, Peers engage with clients arriving in the Emergency Department who may need access to social detox services, by describing their role as a Peer, what social detox is, and what to expect. Peers are advocates for clients; they collaborate with community partners, conduct social detox screenings, determine best placement for services, and transport clients to social detox locations. We are looking for candidates with at least two years of demonstrated personal recovery experience. Successful candidates are compassionate, are self-motivated, gauge risk, and can establish positive working relationships with community partners. This position, located in the Emergency Department, also requires a high level of mental and emotional resilience.

The CPA Waiver Specialist provides on-going support services to foster families. Under the supervision of the CPA Coordinator and while working closely with other assigned staff, the CPA Waiver Specialist will provide intake services and assist with placement recommendations and/or service planning.
