Full Time Prevention Specialist
Position Overview:
- Assists with program development, implementation, reporting, and evaluation as necessary to meet funding requirements
- Assists with coordination and subject matter content during the development of trainings, events, and conferences
- Helps create and promote social media, website content development, and other virtual learning opportunities
- Assists in the facilitation of prevention initiatives and meetings
- Implements relevant prevention initiatives, including educating communities and youth to reduce the prevalence of substance misuse and abuse
- Provides training and technical assistance to community partners related to prevention initiatives
- Supports the implementation of substance use prevention initiatives in Douglas County
Requirements include:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Requires a minimum of one year of experience in community-based health issues and/or training
- Requires college hours in human services, teaching, social work, public health or related field
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
