Based in Lawrence, KS but must be able to travel to Mission, KS for regular meetings
Position Overview:
Provides for the safety, stability and well-being of children and families during the referral period
Delivers and coordinates culturally competent therapeutic and case management services to children and families
Facilitates family meetings within required time frames
Engages and works in partnership with families to complete assessments and develop case plan goals and objectives
Responds promptly to family crisis situations, documents critical incidents and is available 24/7 to clients
Completes an initial and on-going family assessment related to safety, stability and well-being including mental health, substance abuse, education, emotional, social and physical well-being, parenting and parent-child relationships
Assesses each child's safety with every family contact and reports all suspected child abuse/neglect Monitors family progress and service provision through the use of assessment tools, and updates family case plans based on those assessments
Appears and testifies in court as required
Provides 24 hour, 7 days a week support to staff and remains available during crisis situations
Requirements include:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Requires a minimum two years relevant experience in behavioral health or children/family services;
Personal experience with addictions treatment is preferred
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Must pass pre-employment background checks, reference checks, drug screening and fingerprinting
