Position Overview:
- Facilitate substance abuse screening, assessment, education and treatment services within the Douglas County Correctional Facility
- Provide individual and group counseling, based on contractual requirements established by the Douglas County Sheriff's Department and DCCCA
- Collaborate effectively with multiple partners within the Douglas County Correctional Facility and the community
- Lead group and individual counseling sessions
- Assist clients in goal setting and problem solving
- Assist clients in developing treatment and recovery plans
Requirements Include:
- Must possess a Licensed Addictions Counselor credential (LAC or LMAC); LCAC preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services is required; Master's preferred
- Master's level BSRB preferred
- Prior experience providing services to individuals in the criminal justice system preferred
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must pass DCCCA and Douglas County Sheriff's Office pre-employment background checks and drug screen
**Qualified candidates are eligible for a $2,500 to $5,000 sign-on bonus**
