Senior Director of Behavioral Health

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates behavioral health activities, procedures, and meetings
  • Reviews data on number of referrals, clients in levels of care, successful and unsuccessful services outcomes, and other important program performance and client outcome metrics
  • Coordinates data submission for all BH grants and contracts
  • Oversees relationship building with key partners
  • Addresses client and staff issues as appropriate
  • Submits a written incident report in the event of unusual client or staff behavior or activity
  • Collaborates related to office space with other Director/s on site
  • Collaborates with Child Welfare Director and other directors regularly and frequently toward a ONE DCCCA orientation for all of our programs
  • Assists program managers with budget management by review, analysis, and reporting
  • Compiles and analyzes various billing and revenue sources and data for BH, reporting and discussing findings with Chief BH Officer at least weekly
  • Assists in orientation to program rules/structure and regulations
  • Reviews critical incident reports completed by staff and oversees staff follow-up procedures
  • Works with Compliance Director to perform and analyze assessments of staff documentation and EHR activities
  • Provides continuous quality assurance and enhancement, monitors program performance and compliance including regular compliance, licensing, and accreditation audit activity
  • Manages any corrective action processes as needed
  • Participates in, tracks and reviews various Strategic and Connection Teams
  • Supervises assigned staff
  • Coordinates special events
  • Monitors DCCCA social media
  • Works with the Chief BH Officer regarding BH personnel decisions

Education, Experience, and Licensure

  • Requires a master's degree in public administration, health care or public health administration, or related field.
  • Requires at least five years of behavioral health experience
  • Requires at least 3 years of experience supervising teams
  • Possesses strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Must possess a valid state Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets the organization's insurability standards as defined by DCCCA policy.  Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.
