Peer Support Specialists, specially trained adults with lived experience and role models for recovery, are being sought to support and expand a Douglas County initiative. The initiative is designed to help people access social detox services in Northeast Kansas and take the first steps toward recovery. Peer Support Specialists are available during scheduled shifts to interact with patients in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. Full and Part time opportunities are available.
