Family mentors provide one on one support to clients. They offer guidance and support to people who are struggling with substance abuse. They generally have first-hand experience with similar traumatic events or circumstances and work closely with a variety of professionals to provide counseling and rehabilitation. Family Mentors also provide for the safety and well-being of the children and families by delivering culturally competent services to the unique needs of the family.
The Child Welfare Therapist provides for the safety, stability and well-being of children and families by delivering and coordinating culturally competent therapeutic services that are responsive to the unique needs of each family. The Child Welfare Therapist works with clients to engage in services, complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual, group and family counseling.

The KYAC Program Manager administers the daily activities of the Kansas Youth Advisory Council. The KYAC is designed to empower youth by having an organized structure to provide advice and recommendations concerning the child welfare system in Kansas and nationally. The Program Manager will manage program deliverables and outcomes, including engagement with youth in foster care to develop an advisory board. The Program Manager will communicate directly with DCF regarding this project and will communicate with CWCMPs and other key stakeholders.
The Prevention Specialist provides, coordinates, and facilitates prevention initiatives related primarily to Douglas County initiatives including Drug-Free Communities, Douglas County Government funding, and other designated funding. The Prevention Specialist is responsible for engagement and coordination of community partners for a comprehensive county prevention approach, including coordination of youth prevention efforts in the county.

This includes tracking clients’ activities, meals, chores, therapy sessions, and more.
The RSS will be provided with on-the-job training to administer medication, perform intake for new residents, conduct room checks, and log necessary documentation. This individual should be able to work independently when needed and maintain professional relationships while supporting clients in the facility. The Controller assists the Director of Finance with operating and accounting procedures to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for effective business operations. A primary focus will be continuing the implementation processes associated with the accounting and financial reporting system that will increase efficiencies, provide more timely information for budget decisions, and promote cross department collaboration on financial processes. In addition to day-to-day accounting functions, including accounting and finance staff supervision, the Controller maintains DCCCA’s accounting policy and procedure manuals and an effective system of internal controls for the accounting and financial functions of the agency. The Family Preservation Services Clinical Manager is responsible for clinical best practices, in conjunction with the Program Director and the Senior Level Executive and will oversee day-to-day activities associated with providing intensive in-home services. The Child Placing Agency Program Supervisor assists the Child Placing Agency Program Coordinators in achieving compliance with Child Placement Agency requirements and provides support/leadership to assigned staff.
The Community Resource Specialist assists therapists, case managers and family support workers by linking families with needed community resources and services, coordinating transportation and logistics. The community resource specialist may also assist families with job searches, securing child care or respite services, and housing. This position shares coordination duties related to stakeholder feedback, advisory boards and alumni meetings, customer surveys and complaints.
Family Preservation Services (FPS) provides intensive in-home services and case management services to families who have one or more children at risk of out-of-home placement or who will be at risk of out-of-home placement at birth.
DCCCA’s Therapeutic Family Foster Home Program manages family foster homes providing 24-hour care for children and youth with high acuity needs. This position provides ongoing support services to Therapeutic Foster Families which includes assisting with children in the home. Under supervision of the TFFH Supervisor and while working closely with other assigned staff, Therapeutic Family Foster Home Specialists will provide intake services and assist with placement recommendations and/or service planning. The TFFH Specialist will also assist in recruiting and training foster families while also providing emotional support, professional guidance and crisis assistance.
The Family Support Worker provides for the safety, stability and well-being of children and families during the referral period by delivering culturally competent services to children and families that are responsive to the unique needs of the family.
