The Safety Belt Observer manages the assigned data collection county/counties by scheduling collection dates in accordance with National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) guidelines and collecting reliable observational survey data.

Observation sites are throughout the State of Kansas but the current positions are located in central Kansas and Northeast Kansas.  


The Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) will be responsible for ensuring the safety and accountability of the residents within our rehabilitation facility, while maintaining a trusting and nonjudgmental demeanor. They will run the front desk and take incoming calls, as well as oversee the residents’ daily schedule, creating a sense of structure for our clients. This includes tracking clients’ activities, meals, chores, therapy sessions, and more. The RSS will be provided with on-the-job training to administer medication, perform intake for new residents, conduct room checks, and log necessary documentation. This individual should be able to work independently when needed and maintain professional relationships while supporting clients in the facility. The OK SAFE Program Specialist works to bring awareness of the importance of seatbelts to young teens across Oklahoma through the promotion and implementation of the OK SAFE (Seatbelts Are for Everyone) Program. The OK SAFE Program Specialist (Metro) position will focus on building relationships with high schools in Metro OKC and the surrounding counties to implement the OK SAFE program to full fidelity including a student baseline survey, monthly educational activities, an enforcement period with law enforcement, and a final student survey. This includes meeting with schools to recruit new participants, providing program training to school sponsors, providing support for schools to build educational plans, ensuring schools in the program have adequate supplies to perform surveys, daily documentation of tasks, and a monthly summary of program activities.
