Details: On-Site; 10:00pm - 6:00am; 8-hour shifts, typically working Wednesday - Sunday. Schedule may differ from time to time based on program need.

Job Summary

The Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) will be responsible for ensuring the safety and accountability of the residents within our rehabilitation facility, while maintaining a trusting and nonjudgmental demeanor. They will run the front desk and take incoming calls, as well as oversee the residents' daily schedule, creating a sense of structure for our clients. This includes tracking clients' activities, meals, chores, therapy sessions, and more. The RSS will be provided with on-the-job training to administer medication, perform intake for new residents, conduct room checks, and log necessary documentation. This individual should be able to work independently when needed and maintain professional relationships while supporting clients in the facility. Essential Functions

·  Creates a safe client environment by performing all required security and safety procedures

·  Assists in the client's orientation of treatment goals, program rules and structure 

·  Submits a written incident report in the event of unusual client behavior or activity while in DCCCA's care

·  Assesses and resolves minor incidents during weekend and evening hours when daytime staff is unavailable

·  Documents required program and client information in a timely and complete manner

·  Monitors client's weekly schedule and adherence to policies and procedures related to facility/equipment usage

·  Supports Counselors and other treatment providers with the coordination and implementation of client services from admission through  discharge

·  Supervises client performance, enforces program rules and applies the prescribed consequences for misbehavior

·  Conducts and/or participates in client room searches as necessary

·  Adheres to established protocol in crisis situations and notifies appropriate on-call staff members immediately

·  Follows the program schedule and completes assigned tasks in a timely and complete manner

·  Contributes to overall building security through routine monitoring

·  Helps with client groups and facilitates client activities as requested which may include occasional transport

·  Consults with members of the treatment team and other professionals as necessary and implements recommendations received to ensure  quality client care

·  Always develops and maintains professional relationships with all clients

·  Enters data and assists with client billing process

·  Monitors and documents clients' self-administration of clients' medication according to program policy and prescribed medical policy/procedure, conduct and document thorough and accurate medication count during each shift

·  Job may require the employee to be able to regularly drive to various DCCCA locations and other business locations throughout the day including early morning or evening hours

·  Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Licensure

·  Requires a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED), bachelor's degree or some college coursework is preferred

·  Requires one year of related experience

·  Requires a basic understanding of the treatment model utilized

·  Must possess a valid state Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy. The availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.

o Spreadsheet programs

o Word processing programs

·  Requires the ability to efficiently operate office equipment such as:

o  Computerized e-mail systems

o  Calculators, copiers, fax machines

o  Telephones and voicemail systems

·  Effective listening, oral, and written communication skills, including face-to-face, on-site, in person discussions. Exercises appropriate use     of positive language.

·  Regular and predictable on-site attendance.

·  Proficiency with computers and Microsoft suite of products including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

·  Ability to efficiently operate other office equipment such as telephones, voicemail systems, copy and fax machines, and scanners.

Travel

This position requires travel, which may include driving personal or company-owned vehicles.  It may also include driving with other passengers in the vehicle, and/or driving as a passenger with other drivers. Note: Even with a valid driver's license, certain motor vehicle infractions may render individual's ineligible to drive company-owned or personal vehicles for company business. Such infractions may also disqualify employees from continued employment with DCCCA, Inc.  This position is considered to be a safety-sensitive position.
