Child Placing Agency Lead Specialist

Full-Time

Position Overview:

  • Assists in training other CPA Specialists on the daily job functions of a CPA Specialist
  • Facilitates support meetings and other activities for foster families and staff regularly
  • Assists in updating the staff and foster family manuals
  • Assists with interviewing/hiring new staff
  • Assists supervisor by shadowing home visits of CPA Specialists
  • Works closely with DCCCA Placement staff and assists in Placement Department as needed
  • Carries an average caseload of 20 active families 
  • Accepts intake information regarding potential placements for children in care and match with foster families 
  • Conducts home visits and reviews documentation on foster children on a monthly basis 
Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in the Human Services field required
  • Requires at least two years' experience working with children
  • Committed to completing training and education required of a supervisor
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must pass pre-employment background checks, fingerprinting and drug screening
