Child Placing Agency Coordinator

Full-Time

Essential Functions

-Oversees Placement Supervisor and provides coverage of Placement job responsibilities when needed

-Oversees Training and Licensing Supervisor and assists with visits when needed

-Participates in Legislative activities when necessary

-Tracks investigations and foster homes being on hold due to investigations

-Provides direct supervision to assigned staff individually and as a group at a minimum of once a month

-Approves timesheets and expenses for staff

-Addresses foster family issues via home visits or phone calls as appropriate

-Reviews case logs regularly to ensure compliance with CPA and DCF requirements

-Submits monthly program statistics on or before the due date

-Works with Director and CPA Coordinators in hiring, terminating and disciplining assigned staff

-Conducts new employee training, eReach training and other beneficial training to staff and foster families

-Assists in orientation to program rules/structure and regulations 

-Conducts annual employee evaluations and assists with retention strategies

-Represents DCCCA at events, presentations, and internal/external meetings as requested by the Director

-Strives to build a strong sense of team within the department and implements trauma-informed care supervision practices as appropriate

-Provides crisis/on call services and 24 hour, 7 days a week support to foster families and staff

-Updates tracking lists and provides reports as requested by administration

-Trains, mentors and advises staff

-Maintains good working relationships and facilitates communication with the foster family, collateral agencies, and staff 

-Maintains regular contact with supervisor

-Creates a safe environment by performing all required security and safety procedures

-Requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality 

-Job may require the employee to be able to regularly drive to various DCCCA locations and other business locations throughout the day including early morning or evening hours

Education, Experience, and Licensure

-Requires a Master's degree in a Human Services related field

-Requires at least two years of child welfare and/or family services experience

-Two years supervisory experience required

-Must possess a valid Driver's License, have in force automobile liability insurance coverage, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets the organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

-Regular and predictable on-site attendance.

-Proficiency with computers and Microsoft suite of products including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

-Ability to efficiently operate other office equipment such as telephones, voicemail systems, copy and fax machines, and scannerst possess a valid Driver's License, have in force automobile liability insurance coverage, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets the organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.

Travel

-Certain positions will require travel which may include driving personal or company-owned vehicles.  Note: Even with a valid driver's license, certain motor vehicle infractions may render individual's ineligible to drive company-owned or personal vehicles for company business. Such infractions may also disqualify employees from continued employment with DCCCA, Inc.
